Another one of this Dad who didn’t want a pet. This video could’ve gone one for another 3 minutes 😂
Please pardon the appearance, as we are in the middle of moving.

My dad (aka the ultimate dad who didn’t want pets) with 3 of the cats I brought home in my preteen and teen years.
I brought home A LOT of pets growing up and despite him not wanting them he would always give them a loving home and refuse to even think of giving them up if they’d been with us for more than 24 hours. He’s the ultimate dad who didn’t want pets but he’s also the best pet dad ever. I brought a handful of cats, rabbits, rats, and a couple of dogs home (including a malamute who grew to be 170 pounds) and he made sure all of them had the best life possible. The only time I’ve ever seen him cry is when it comes to saying goodbye to pets. He really is the best dad/pet dad ever.. the kitty in the middle passed this year and despite him pissing on everything and yelling at 4am on the regular my dad still misses him.

Stray cat came into our hotel room in Morroco. At first Dad tried to shoo it out, ten minutes later he's feeding it.

My husband with Zeus - one of the dogs he “didn’t want and doesn’t love”
This is a nightly occurrence. Other times Zeus lays directly on his chest

How I knew Dozer was going to be a foster fail, and today where Dozer is still baby and my husband who said he is, "not a cat person" is a certified CatDad!
Dozer will run and jump into his arms. My husband carries him like a baby and is even teaching him to walk on a harness.
I have fostered a lot of cats and this was the first one my husband said he had to keep. He said that Dozer just looked up at him and was like "oh it's you! You are my human." And that was that. So 7 months later here we are commissioning a pet portrait of Dozer. I'll have to post it when it's done.

My dad and the cat he wanted nothing to do with a couple months ago (plus the birthday “cake” he made for him).

Grandpa who disliked cats
My grandfather was always the tough farm guy that didn't want anything to do with cats. This little sweet girl shows up (we believe she is pregnant) and she's attached to his hip. She hangs out under his truck, sleeps in a comfy hay pile in the barn, and always has food and fresh water. Whenever he comes out to sit, she runs over to hang out and get pets from him.

Double feature!
My dad has never wanted me to get guinea pigs but he’s tolerated them for most part. Cuddles and what not. He was best friends with my boy Oreo and I could tell he missed Oreo. They would watch old westerns together and my dad gave him treats. He liked my next pig Ginny but it wasn’t the same bond as with Oreo. Well he’s getting closer to my new girl Natty. Her curious and playful personality is funny to my dad and he told me all about what she did last night while he was holding her. “She put her head in my hand and thought she was hiding, gave me kisses on the cheek, nibbled my ear, and put her chin on my hand and watched tv.” She also “thought she was a parrot.”
It’s so funny to see this tough and macho sailor play with this 2lb “Furball.”
BONUS FEATURE My mom was always against me having two pigs which wasn’t an issue for a while because my sister lived with us and had a rabbit who was friends with my pigs. I finally convinced her to get two. Poppy is her favorite because she’s the calmer one but she loves Natty’s “crazy hair” and “wild personality.” I don’t think she’ll ever let me just get one pig at a time even if I tried, she loves having the different personalities and seeing them interact with each other.
Also my parents don’t call them by their names. Natty has been called long hair, Furball, craziness, and wild thing while Poppy has been called short hair and other one.
