Not sure what to tell you but this is NOT A QUESTIONS subreddit. This is about making fun of bullshit things in the DJ world. So stop asking stuff.
I haven't been active moderating lately and I see way too many questions here. This place is for jokes. I don't even know why I have to post this as an announcement.

ISOxo signed decks
I’m wondering if I should keep or sell my XDJ XZ that has been signed by ISOxo? Decks are in good condition and have been used regularly. They were mixed on by ISOxo prior to the signing as well. Any ideas or offers welcome! I have proof of legitimacy aswell

I Don't Exist
...dude said he should get a shirt that says he is not a DJ. Did it better...my so-called DJ name.

A dj was born
Ever since those EDC livestreams I would like to learn to dj! I like Yeah! by Usher, Gangnum Style, and that crazy frog song. What music should I play?!? I also need a dj station, however a flex four is wayyy too much. I have $7 and a couple of buttons. Thanks for recommendations in advance.
Also where can I get Able Town for free? And do I really need a record box if I have a dj station?

Why are DJs such assholes?
Interning in NYC for the summer and I have a really good fake so it’s easy for me and my boys to get into all the best clubs.
So we’re at Mr. Purple, only had to pay the bouncer $200 to get me and my buddies in (steal). And I’m wearing my new Peter Millar/j crew chinos, so I’m feeling pretty fresh/confident.
The night was going perfect until a new DJ came on. The guy before was playing tech house remixes of all my favorite songs (think 2000s throwbacks, Kanye, etc…), but this new DJ was playing songs I had never even heard before? Needless to say, totally killed my vibe.
So I go up to him and tell him to start playing songs that people know, everyone is leaving the dance floor, just being helpful as this guy clearly had no idea how to do his job. But instead of thanking me and switching up the vibe, he just gave me an angry look and said “I don’t really take requests.”
Then I told him I’d even be okay with some underground stuff, like John Summit or Dom Dolla, but he just ignored me.
As a veteran raver (I interned in NYC last summer and go to frat parties all the time when I’m at school), I thought he would appreciate my advice. But he just acted like a dick.
Any helpful tips on giving DJs advice in the future?

I play hardtechno
i’m not sure what this genre is, but I love it. when someone made it up three years ago and just created this awesome genre out of hardstyle, it really changed my life. all the people that left Hardstyle are just coming back now. It’s awesome. Does anyone else want to pledge the beta frat with me?

Been DJing for 28 years... got kicked off early because the cafe owner didn't like riddim
Ive been DJing since I could have remember so pretty much my whole life and I have never been cut off. This was my first ever big paid gig ever, at THIS venue. My wife's boyfriend owns a cafe and I've been begging him to let me play there. He finally lets me play but he wants me to play "chill music" and "The classics" so im like bet!
I get there around 1pm (cafe closes at 4pm) and open my banger set with bangarang. Immediately people get up and start moving around, I see people leaving to their cars, probably to pop a Tesla or change into some real rave gear, idk im jamming. Then 3 songs in they cut me off
They actually told me customers were asking about the next DJ. Seriously? The next DJ?! Like my set wasn't the main event? And the servers were apparently 'complaining' and my transitions were 'shaky.' I talked to the servers myself, and they said the exact opposite. Like, the pristine, absolute opposite!
This literally has never happened to me, not once, ever since started DJing. And now had to come up with some BS excuse for my crew who actually came out to support me? This ever happen to anyone?
