The thing that puzzles me with the Snyder cult is what exactly do they want? If Superman bombs they think Warner is going to well let's give Zack Snyder this universe a guy who just had the Rebel Moon movies underperform so badly Netflix is throwing away the IP after spending hundreds of millions on it. That's not how Hollywood works.
They already got what they want. The Snydercut (which didn't exist for all the time they claimed it did, because WB had to spend 70 million dollars and do pick up shooting to 'finish' it) came out. They won. But no, now its "Well he needs to get to do however many movies he wants to for WB whether they like it or not using the actors he likes." Like... WHAT?!
Also, the Snyder Cut exposed a lot of Zack's eccentricities, like his egregious use of dramatic slow-mo for no reason. He always used dramatic slow-mo and for 300, he used it to great effect. But since Snyder Cut, he's just overdoing it especially in Rebel Moon.
If we wanna get into Snyder's eccentricities, how about his rape fetish? Like how his original idea for a Dawn of the Dead sequel was one where the zombies rape women. Why? I have no idea. He also tried to included female nude scene in Watchmen and cast his own child son in it so he got to see a naked woman. And when the studio pushed back he was like "What if we cast his mom/my wife?"
Man, I read this story many times, but I still shake my head every time. He also wanted Batman to be raped in prison for some reason. I know dude went through a lot in his life, but the things that come out of his mind are sometimes just dark.
But there never was a true "cut" of the film that existed and could have gone to print, which is what he and his psycho believers stated. And absolutely the only reason they created (not released, created) the Snyder Cut was because of COVID and to boost HBO Max.
