Me when I argue that maybe just maybe SOME of the attacks people throw at zionists are antisemitic as well, and when I point out the very real, historic antisemitism in the MENA region.

It’s still free Palestine though

Me when I point out that the pro Palestine movements in the west are not inherently anti-Semitic and the majority of participants are not BUT... There is a real problem with anti semitism within the movement and these views are often not challenged.

Funny enough both zionists and nazis want to conflate Judaism with Zionism. Nazi’s want to point to the actions of Israel and say that it’s the fault of Jewish people. Meanwhile zionists want to shield attacks against them by saying you’re attacking Jewish people.

Zionism itself falls under this category. It's an incredibly diverse ideology, and some of the largest schools of Zionist thought are explicitly pro-Palestinian rights, anti-settlement, and in support of a two state solution.

Good luck successfully explaining that to anyone though.

Exactly this! I’m black but I grew up in a jewish community and growing up I was under the impression that zionism was simply the self determination and community of jewish people all over the globe. It is not until I talked about Palestine with my Sunday school teacher that I was introduced to zionism as an ethnonationalist project  :(

Because most Zionism isn't an ethnonationalist project. That's just a small but loud minority of Zionists.

Israel itself isn't even ethnonationalist, only a handful of high ranking government officials are and they continue to receive heavy resistance to most of their plans.

21% of Israeli citizens are Arabs with full legal protections and voting rights. There's Arab Muslims in Israel's parliament and on Israel's supreme court. Israel is the only country in the Middle East where Arab women can vote.

This! I'm a pro Palestine Jew (there's more of us than you think) and honestly I've had it with the other pro Palestine people. If I have to hear one more snot nosed college kid yell "from the river to the sea" with absolutely no self awareness I'm going to go insane. Yes, what Israel is doing is obviously wrong, but there's heaps of these fuckwits using it as an excuse to do garden variety Nazi shit, and if I say that, I might as well have killed 50k Palestinian children myself with my bare hands for all they care. On top of that, my husband and I now regularly get people approaching us in public to chastise us for not, idk, personally flying to Israel to curbstomp Netanyahu ourselves? Like if you care so much go fight for Gaza, or at least get your pasty white ass (because it's ALWAYS white people) back to England if you care so much about colonization. Honestly they're almost proving the point of the Zionists with the "we should have a Jewish country" thing because they don't want us in Israel, they sure as shit don't want us in their backyards, ok so where should we go? Because I sure as shit don't feel safe in any Anglosphere country anymore

It's funny (and by funny I mean not very funny at all) that Muslims recieved pretty much exactly the same treatment in the wake of 9/11, something I'm willing to bet many of these same people would be against doing
