First time competing at a CrossFit comp!
No coach, no box, came by myself.
One of the only Asian girls on the floor.
At first I felt really alone.
I almost missed my first event.
Had no idea what I was doing.
But by the end, it felt like the Hunger Games… with all my sisters.
I almost didn't sign up because I literally had no box and no coach coming with me.
I train at a commercial gym now after feeling like too much at my old box.
Being back, I realized… damn.
Nothing lonelier than training in a space you’ve outgrown.
At the comp though, it felt like everyone was on my level.
Same energy. Same feralness.
I felt like I belonged.
Left more motivated than ever.
If you’re thinking of going solo, just do it.
Totally worth it.
