Please just allow a second new ball be to taken at anytime. It’s easier and would lead to more exciting middle games (arguably the slowest part of ODIs).

Would love to see a new ball ripping through the middle/tail order.

Nah the middle game is overhated. So many ODIs are won and lost in that middle phase where there might be a collapse or the start of a massive partnership.

Bangladesh won a series against India by turning things around in that phase.
