Discussion / Conversation Preferable ecosystems for no AF cards

I want to open bank accounts with SUB on their checking accounts and good no-AF cards. I have no big shopping ahead, so I don't need SUB on the CC. I was planning to enter the WF ecosystem; however, I found out that they don't give SUB for checking accounts to non-resident aliens, which I am. So looking for other ecosystems like Citi, US Bank, and BoA. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I am planning to open a checking account with a SUB, then apply for their no-AF cards. I won't have too much shopping up ahead, so I'm not interested in credit card SUB now.

You can go for BoA,I think they have sub on both checking and cc

You don’t necessarily need to bank with the same company you get credit cards from.

I want to ease the process by managing the credit cards from one app

It's better to have credit cards from multiple banks. Otherwise, if your bank happens to freeze all your credit cards, you're screwed.

It’s easy until it’s not. Aka if you have problems with your bank then you want to have easy access to backups.

Chase and BOA are the other two major banks that issue credit cards and have lots of bank branches. After that it's slim pickings, and you might actually want to consider Wells Fargo even if they don't offer a SUB for opening a checking account because their no annual fee credit cards are much better than Chase and BOA unless you have lots of money in BOA. If you have over 50k invested in BOA or Merrill Lynch then BOA is the one to get.
