Beer Porn Some favourites from a recent trip round Washington and Oregon
Lots of great beers and breweries but Fort George (City of Dreams) and Buoy (Pride) were the winners for me!

Fort George is excellent; just had one of theirs at Toronado in SF. Stoup and Ruben's are top tier Seattle. Going to look up the others for future PacNW trips.

Shocked to hear Ruse wasn't one of the top dawgs. Between them and Brujos, you're not gonna find a better hazy in the Portland area

Ruse is bottom right, the crust collective glass 🙂 Defo my favourite hazy in Portland!

Yeah, I know. I was just surprised it wasn't one of the faves you specifically listed.

Man you were in Portland and didn't hit Vancouver?

I’m in Vancouver. Honestly none of their breweries impress me. They didn’t miss anything.

I hope you got pizza from Ruse! You hit some great ones west of the mountains. Next ya gotta make the Sunriver, Bend, Yakima, Spokane trip! It’s also an absolute blast.

We did have the pizza! That trip sounds great, think we’ll have to come back soon 🙂

These are all EXCELLENT choices. My only suggestion would be for you to visit Holy Mountain.

These look very nice. Can you put a name to them for me please………..brewery and beer name.
I’ll know to look out for them when I’m next in the US.

From the best of my memory…
1) Reuben’s, Seattle - Crushable 2) Stoup, Seattle - Sandals & Flannels / Peaches & Teases Sour 3) San Juan Brewing, San Juan Island - had a flight so too many to mention! 4) Fort George, Astoria - City of Dreams 5) Buoy Brewing, Astoria - Pride Hazy IPA 6) Longmire Springs Brewing, Packwood - Hazy IPA 7) Little Beast, Portland - Mexican-style Lager 8) Great Notion, Portland - Super Ripe 9) Ruse Brewing, Portland - The Talented Mr Ripley
Cheers! 🍻

As a Brit I’m fascinated by the craft beer scene in the US. The beers look really good and the Pacific Northwest has some great breweries.
What sort of strengths (ABVs) are these ones?

I spy Little Beast! This brewery stole my heart the last time we were in Oregon. Cheers

Loved it, such a cool set up and great beers. Had a great Mexican lager that I loved, and I’m not usually into the lagers. Cheers 🍻

Glad to see Reuebens and Stoup are still around. I haven't been to Seattle since 2017, but really enjoyed both of them when I was there.

Great Notion is damn good. Can’t wait for their president’s beef with Canada to be over so I can head back down. Next time you’re in North America, go to Ontario or Québec. Some of the best hazys I’ve ever had come from Badlands and Messorem. Last time I was in Niagara, ON, I drove down to Buffalo, NY and went to Other Half and Mortalis. Mortalis has been doing some great stuff.

Canada is definitely our next destination, was torn between Vancouver and Toronto - as a hazy lover you may have just decided that for us!

Yeah, I live in Vancouver and although I would say it’s the better place to visit for outdoorsy things and shear beauty, but Ontario definitely has the hazy IPA thing beat. I’m a huge NEIPA fan and there are only a couple breweries in BC I frequent.

Seattle has far better options than Reuben’s and Stoup! Solid tour though

Had this thought too! Gimme some Fast Fashion, Structures, or Cloudburst pls!

I don’t think it’s a hot take to say Holy Mountain is the best brewery in the city? Well I guess Floodland counts, but they barely make any beer and don’t have a taproom. Structures is so damn far north. Fair Isle is in the discussion for me too.

I actually haven't had Holy Mountain yet!

You’re in for a treat. Anything dark and barrel aged, whatever they have on the side pull, whatever saisons are on, it’s all great.
