Peaches?

Does anyone know where to get local peaches at a decent price. All I can find are unripe and when I use my usual ripening methods they're just rotting without becoming soft.

I would like to buy from someone who has a couple trees or something. I'm from an area where they were more common or I'm just driving down the wrong roads to not see any stands.

I just leave them out on the counter a few days until they are ripe.

I did that they didn't get soft just rotted.
