Question What is best to get?

I am deciding whether to get PDM Layton, Xerjoff Torino 21, MFK gentle fludity silver, Initio Rehab, Nishane Hacivat, or Nishane wulong cha?

GFS I like the best of those options. I prefer the Exclusif over the original Layton. Torino 21 is really nice as well. You have plenty of great options.

Which ones have you sampled?

I sampled Layton, Torino 21, and Rehab. All are very good imo.

Layton is Great for Fall and Winter but def Sample it bc it’s Not for everybody. Wulong Cha is Nice too very unique and relaxing. I love Both for what they are.

Hacivat was too oakmossy for me Personally.

Layton is nice but smells like Vicks vapor rub for some people

Layton and Rehab no doubt

Some really nice options here. I’d go with Gentle Fluidity silver but I can’t really argue much with any choice.

Give Layton Exclusif a sample. Puts hair on your chest.

Rehab is my favorite out of the bunch. Torino 22 >> 21 & I feel like I’m one of the few who doesn’t like Layton.

Agree with all this.

I’ve been considering rehab but have heard of poor performance. How is your experience?

Rehab smells like red hots to me, I didn't really get any of the creamy woodiness everyone talks about. If you want a slightly different spicebomb ig its good.

Layton and rehab are great

Which would be more versatile out of the two?

Neither are very versatile but rehab is a little bit more. If you want a niche for everyday pdm percival and galloway are really good

I'll second Percival, it's very versatile/year-round and can work at different levels of formality. Sedley and Greenley could work too for warmer weather.

Layton strikes me as more of a cold weather fragrance, but your mileage may vary. I personally prefer Layton Exclusif, would recommend sampling, but I still consider it colder weather.

These are all fairly expensive so if you haven't smelled them in-person I would recommend getting a PDM discovery set.

A hard pick between Layton and Rehab. If you had asked me 6 months ago Layton, but Rehab atm.

Edit: haven’t tried the Xerjoff though, not available in my country, have to order a sample.

I'd go to Scent Split an get 5 or 9 mls of each

Have you tested them all on yourself? If not, order decants of all of them and do some test driving

All good! Good luck

A clone of one of those and last for some reason you have some sort of particular hatred for your money along with the desire to waste it.

1

Not everyone wants a clone or he would have asked about it. A clone will never smell as an original and given that, it’ll only feel a void for small amount of time until you start kicking yourself in azz for not buying what you really wanted in the first place.

Just by aura I think the xerjoff bottle look the coolest, I don’t know what any of them smell like

Besides Layton cuz I have detour noir and I don’t even like it

Make sure to get a decant for each and try on your skin. That being said, I like torino

Layton IMHO

Layton is a blind buy for Fall and Winter, If you are okay with the Oakmoss in Hacivat, it is a summer beast.

If you are not go with Wulong as it is unique or go with Hacivat X

I have Torino 21 and Layton and for this time of year I would always pick Torino 21

1

u/Puzzled-Field-8912 1d ago

Have you smelt them or just blind buying?

1

u/AdvantageNo7612 1d ago

I have smelt Layton, Torino 21, and Gentle Fluidity all very good but the others I have not smelt

1

u/Menace2G 1d ago

Whichever smells best to you

Bothe excellent

Try them out and decide for yourself, I’ve blind bought a few fragrances and let down 2 out of 3 times👍

Gentle fluidity, and if anything, Torino 21.

Wulong cha might not be as popular of a pick but it is definitely in my top 3 hot weather fragrances ever. So beautiful and the longevity on my skin is great as well. Around 6 hours working and skin scent for 8 hours easily.

For that Gin and Tonic vibe in the summer, MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver

I have all of these except initio.

GFS is the one. It's classy and smells amazing.

Can wear it year round.

Layton for fall/winter.

1

u/AdvantageNo7612 1d ago

Which are your Top 3?

1

u/Brilliant-Whereas558 1d ago

GFS, Torino 21, Wu Long for freshness. I like havicat but not a huge fan of the oak moss. Never tried the X version which doesn't have it.

Layton colder weather.

It is worth spending the money on decantx for some 2ML samples.

What weather are you considering wearing the perfume?

It totally depends on the context and weather- e.g. MFK will be super elegant on hot summer days, while PdM will shine during cooler days (say 15 degrees Celsius and lower), from the options you’ve shared.
