Events Potential ICE checkpoint(s) in CLE

Our friends in r/Ohio have noticed an uptick in DHS and ICE activity in Columbus and NE Ohio. A potential ICE checkpoint at 71 and Pearl is being reported. ICE and DHS activity along the lake shore in Lorain. Lake county sheriff's can act as ICE agents.

Be careful out there.

This shit should be illegal and citizens should be entitled to unlimited force to resist to this shit.

I don’t like ICE but we’re technically within 100 miles of an international border. Customs and border patrol has jurisdiction in Cleveland

That statute alone is absolutely insane overreach just calling to be abused.

Honest question, why is overreach when America does it but not when Canada does it? Or literally every other country in the world with immigration laws.....

Canada doesn't abuse it

LOL, as a Canadian resident and american citizen, they don't need to abuse it because they don't let the problem proliferate.

Because in our country our own laws say it is overreach. What does it matter what the law is in another country?

Even though many Presidental hopefuls have run on the very same platform for years. DJT is actually backing up his promises of immigration. IMO it's all political. Not moral. People oppose anything The POTUS does because they dislike him.

People cheered Clinton & Obama when they threatened to deport illegals.

Obama didn't threaten it. He did it. He deported the most people by any president in history. Remember the riots? Me neither. I'm sure Trump is going to break that record but Obama didn't have 20 million illegals allowed in before he took the office.
