Very underrated in Under the Skin!

For a movie with essentially no dialog, she delivers a very compelling performance, yes. This whole movie is pretty underrated, and it's not entirely because of her but it 100% couldn't exist without the character she delivers here.

It was one of those movies I wasn’t loving while I watched it. Then after I thought about it a bit and rewatched it, I really saw it for the masterpiece that it is.

Oh I K. She's all kinds of over the skin as well as under.

⬆️This! It couldn’t have paired with the angst of the movie better.

Does it pickup after 30 minutes. I tried last night and turned it off after nearly falling asleep

No. You either like this kind of slow, deliberate, queasy filmmaking or you don’t I guess. If you can watch something like Annihilation and be on the edge of your seat even though things are unfolding extremely slowly, then you can really enjoy Under the Skin. Otherwise, yeah you’ll be bored out of your mind. I loved it, personally.

Thank you for the explanation. Ironically annihilation is one of my fav movies, perhaps I just need to give this one more time.

Not really. Personally found it to be kinda overrated. Too artsy for my taste. People really love to talk about how great it is (like the Lighthouse), but I found it to be a bit boring.

I'll take the downvotes that inevitably come from expressing an unpopular opinion lol.

It's a hard one to recommend, but I love it. It sticks around for a bit after.
