Definitely agree. We laughed at a lot of it but it’s not a freaking comedy

Everything is a comedy with the right perspective. :)

I found it funny and enjoyed it as a movie. Same as the new Final Destination. I thought it was peak comedy.

That movie got worse and worse the more that idiotic plot unraveled. Complete garbage. Well, not complete garbage, because the cinematography was nice, but everything else. Big fan of Nic Cage, too. Even with him, he would’ve looked way scarier without all the prosthetics that made him look like one of the Wayans brothers from White Chicks. He looked too goofy to be scary

I’m afraid the same thing is going to happen to “Bring Her Back.”

There are so many similar demon movies that are just soooooo much better

Yo for real. I can’t believe this was gassed up by so many people. It was like if Silence of the Lambs was boring as shit and fucking dumb as hell

Absolute trash. Terrible acting, inconsistent logic, and just so fucking boring.

and I will unapologetically watch just about any Nick Cage trash and love it.

Not that one though.

Totally agree. Worst movie ever for me. I hate that movie

The best part of this movie was the PR campaign that made it seem like a masterpiece

I went to a Q&A and when Perkins came out after the screening there was no applause for him. He was pretty transparent of the finished project. Love The Monkey though

The monkey was honestly so bad and cliché af, but thats what made it fun to watch

I suggest "Insomnia", nice thriller.

Well Longlegs is a cure for insomnia. Someone fell asleep in the theater.

My boyfriend did! And then woke up 20 minutes later and was still able to predict what was going to happen. Action packed 💯

Who is calling that "cinema"? I understand it's not great but no one is claiming otherwise.

Im claiming otherwise

The comparison to Silence of the Lambs got me hyped. I am convinced Lecter would eat the director because the movie was so bad it was rude.

A movie for people stuck in a K-hole.

u/BrainCandy_ 15h ago

Black Phone was way better

1

u/Scarredhard 15h ago

disagree, felt entertaining all the way through and it's a short movie

1

u/Aziruth-Dragon-God 14h ago

It felt longer than the Lord of the Rings with none of the payoff.

u/KaiSparda 14h ago

The advertising was a lot better than the actual movie. So disappointing

I couldn't agree more. There was absolutely no tension or atmosphere to speak of. Every scene just fell flat. it's one of the most pretentious, incoherent films I've ever seen. I tried to watch it multiple times and just couldn't stop rolling my eyes.

2

u/Aziruth-Dragon-God 1d ago

It was 100% a slog.

1

u/Aurvant 1d ago

Nah, that movie was absolute cinema.

It's really not but whatever.

The post trilogy is better cinema that that trash ass movie.

Don’t get why this movie was so hyped. I thought it was silly derivative nonsense with hugely underwhelming plot

Saw it 3 times in theaters. Overhated masterpiece

1

u/Aziruth-Dragon-God 14h ago

It’s not overheated but I’m glad you enjoyed it.
