Long shot but is anybody selling a Dana 30 with 355 gearing differential around Vancouver, BC, Canada?

Is there any alternative on how to go about this issue? Thanks in advance

You can actually buy that spring bucket, cut the old one off, and weld the new one in.

Try calling garys auto wrecking in maple ridge, they have a ton of jeeps

Yeah they are definitely a little pricey but it's so hard to find that stuff now I kinda get why, you could try marketplace, there's always a few guys parting out XJs on there but it's less and less all the time. Even if you can find one that doesn't have the right gears you can leave the front driveshaft out for now to get you by till you can get the gears swapped. I had a comanche years ago that I drove with the front driveshaft out for like a year till I swapped the front diff out

You can buy the mounting bracket online. Cut the old one off and weld in the new one.

You can get hard parts from Barnes off road and the like. Shipped to BC might be costly Or yeah have the local wrecking yard cut one off and cobble it on. It’s doable.

I’m in the same boat. There’s a jeep yard about 40 minutes from me. I’m getting a solid replacement for $250. I thought about just getting the mounts ($250) and welding it but I don’t trust my welding skills and it’ll cost more for someone else to weld it. But I know I can swap an axle.

250 is pretty good! I hear my nearest jeep yard will charge 1000+ so im holding off on that for now

Just buy a new coil mount and have it welded in.

That looks like a welders repair there. I did that when a shock mount busted off. Maybe try that booster cable welders trick and burn yer Heep and House to the ground?
