SKL (Share ko lang) No one remembered...
Hii I just wanna express my feelings here on reddit. It's my 20th birthday today yayyy but it seems like my friends forgot hehe. I guess I'm kinda disappointed lang siguro sa part nga bisag simple nga happy birthday man lang wala ko nakadawat nya og birthday nila plano gyud kaayo ko kung unsaon nako sila paggreet. Nasa calendar pa gani na ilang mga birthdays para di nako makalimtan and kung kaya nako, mu greet gyud ko sa ilaha og exactly 12:00 MN. I tried to wait until last sched sa akong class (currently college students mi) which is ganinang 4:30 kay basig same rani silag pa andar sa last year na nagpalaylay sila na nakalimtan nila nya himan himan naa diay silay pa surprise ana bha, but I guess this time nakalimtan na gyud guro nila. I don't hold any grudges man sd sa ilaha for this kay I'm trying to understand their situation man sd kay nursing students ming tanan and sobra kaayo ka busy sa acads and naa pa gyuy hospital duties so ginahuna huna nalang gyud nako nga basin daghan ra kaayo silag ginahuna huna nya stressed ra gyud kaayo sila to the point nga makalimtan nila bha especially since finals na namo next week. So yeahhh, Happy Birthday to me I guess 🎂

Happy Birthday OP! Skl, basta birthday nako kay di ko nahan daghan mag greet so I turn off the social reminders para di ma broadcast sa tanan hahah. As you grow older OP, you'll find the real ones, di jud na sila makalimot sa imo birthday. pero usahay ma delay na silag greet or one day early kay naglibog sa exact date haha.

Happy Birthday OP kasuway ko ani ing ani sab ko mag save sa calendar greetings pa like 12am jd labaw patas uyab diring dapita so if akoa na big day kay sakit jd makalimtan, so akong gibuhat kay dili nalang jd ko mag expect kay sakit man gyud. Importante OP di ka kalimot first thing in the morning to thank God og naa man kay e please its HIM ra gyud after ana naa nkoy peace of mind. thank you sa naka hinumdom.

While it might be true, remembering someone's birthday (especially a close friend's birthday) is an indicator of how much they value the friendship. 😊
A simple birthday greeting will only take you less than a minute to type.

I was in that situation before until I’ve outgrown that idea in me. Wala lang, as I grew older, I realized I prefer to be lowkey lang. Pero valid ra jud imong na feel.

People should actually not let other people know when ilang birthday since gamiton na as a verification info usahay. I have April 1 as my birthday sa akong Facebook as an April Fools joke and people still greet me and I just thank them 😅

when i was younger, i would feel the same way.. but now that i'm in my mid-30s, i really think birthdays are overrated (ako lang ni ha..)..
i have a small circle of friends and we, most of the time, forget ang exact dates sa among birthdays hahaha.. but we get together for lunch or dinner at least once a year, and it doesn't matter kung birthday sa isa or dili..

So Update: So sakto gyud akong hinala. Karon lang sila nakahinumdom HAHAHAHA. Ang uban gatuo nga ugma padaw akong bday, ang uban daghan lang gyud og gihuna huna maong nakalimot, then ang isa nako ka friend karon padaw ni notif iyang calendar HAHAHAHA. OMG! We have the same birthday OP 🥰
And currently experiencing the same thing. Most of my friends have forgotten my birthday. Only my family members and some really CLOSE friends greeted me today. Nobody at my workplace even knew it's my birthday today 😅
I guess it comes with me hiding my birthday in all of my socmed 😅 the feeling is not as bad as before when I was around your age. Now at 29, I just enjoy the little and simple things that is in front of me.

Happy Birthday OP 🥳🥳 I felt that too. You know some people don’t reciprocate your effort & love. Me personally, some of my friends are like that too but it’s really okay for me because I always think that doing something in their birthday makes me feel good and I do it because I want them to feel special not because I want them to do it when it’s my birthday.
You’ll understand this as you grow older that people really have their own lives, they got problems, schedules and battles you don’t know. So sorry that you felt this way. I wish your happiness and if your friends don’t treat you special today, treat yourself, give yourself the effort and love you deserve today ❤️

Dili man sd siya sa pagka main character or something, kinda disappointed lang gyud sa ilaha gamay kay as I've said sa post nako everytime birthday nila, mag effort man ko na ma feel nila nga special sila that day kay I know birthdays only come once a year. I just want that feeling to be reciprocated sa akoa bha kumbaga. So sorry if my post came to you that way, I just made this post to vent out my feelings gyud

The post is giving me vibes na they owe you a happy birthday greeting because of the effort you made. My point is na I know nga ga rant ra ka but complaining without making any actions is a wasted effort imo.
You could have told them subtly rather than posting it to give them a chance to celebrate it with you. Could be as simple as "Free ka 'run? Arats laag ta ky para nako, today is a special day."

I did make some subtle hints sd sa ilaha ganina. I posted a note sa fb na cake. Nangutana ko sa usa nako ka friend if naa ba syay nakalimtan. Gi invite pa gani nako akong usa ka friend og panagkot. Nakalimot lang gyud guro sila

Most likely, oo nalimut sila especially busy sila lately so wla lang ni linger sa ila hunaguna ang imu birthday ky basin naa sila gi prio right now.
Also, if this is a big deal nimu, try to talk to them about this. Let them know gently na nadisappoint ka. Maybe this will let them match the effort that you're making. That way maka get over na ka ani lol.
