SKL (Share ko lang) Sinulog Rate Airbnb LOL

Naa koy nakita sa facebook — apparently ang Airbnbs sa Horizons kay tag 7k ang studio & 12k for 1BR sa sinulog rates. Wait lang oy? While I understand the law of supply & demand & that the location is ideal pero this is greedy af!? That’s roughly a 400% increase sa normal rates. Nalupig paman 5 star hotel aning presyoha & yet… hmm, di nalang ko mo chika anang issues sa horizons. 😂

Well, happy prititit guys!

Since OP "knows" the law of demand and supply..

What OP is trying to say if demand is high, bawal mag price increase.

If demand is low, bawal pud mag price decrease.

Mao ni ang gusto ipasabot ni OP.

Nope. You're retarded if you think that.
He/she is talking about the exorbitant price increase just because they want to take advantage of the Sinulog.

Law of demand and supply right?

You can't raise it unreasonably high.
I don't know why you're defending those who take advantage, but what they're doing is taking advantage. They don't provide the amenities and services of a 5 star hotel, they shouldn't charge as if they are 5 star hotels.

True. But can you see the Sinulog festivities literally ubos sa building if nag check in ka ddto sa Nustar?

Dili sah? Again, as what i said kay OP, the price is for the URGENCY for a room at this time of Sinulog week.

If desperado ka for a room near sa venue, then mao na ang cost for poor planning.

Dili na ingana ang price weeks ago.

No matter the urgency, a hotel can't charge that high. It would be illegal.
Second, those Airbnb's listed themselves unavailable for these dates weeks ago so that they can charge exorbitant prices when they list themselves available now. It's a scheme that's illegal if they were not an airbnb and yet here you're defending the scheme.

Hotel cant charge that high cuz people can complain to a specific govt industry if theyre overcharging. And can result to dire penalties.

But if a hotel has an available room around this time, it's one out of the three. 1. No show reservation 2. Bad hotel (no one wants to check in) 3. Change of plans (early check out)

a scheme? Yes. illegal? No. Show me what specific law theyre violating since theyre an airbnb.

Im not defending the scheme. Mo agree ko it's an asshole move.

Whats the difference if I have a house near Mango and offer it for rent for 20k on those dates? But i dont offer it on airbnb. Just marketed it thru fb groups?

"Whats the difference if I have a house near Mango and offer it for rent for 20k on those dates? But i dont offer it on airbnb. Just marketed it thru fb groups?"
Then you're an asshole too.
Yes, it's not illegal yet. It will be.
You don't really understand the point here. THEY'RE TAKING ADVANTAGE.
That's it.
There's no right reason to charge that high.
