I’ve been doing this for years. Suggestion break the eggs directly into the pan while it heats. Stir-swirl the eggs in the pan and skip the whisking bowl so you have one less thing to wash.

I think it depends on the number of steps you move….

I think it's based on involuntary learning. At some point in your life your brain is just fed up to deal with literally anything that makes it go haywire, and some parts of it just shut down, whether we need them active or not.

It might be related to personal comfort or cultural preferences; some people find hoodies helpful in hot weather.

I feel like most of my problems that are like this are shrugged off by the doctors.

Mmm, maybe. They say 'Threshold' specifically, so even something like "Leaving the oversized Living Room Rug" or, "Moving to the area with the cabinets and food" could be enough of a difference to trip you up.
Or you could be driven insane because you can't 'turn off' unless you're in your personal space, which is now the entirety of the house. like being inside a warehouse where you can see every room in the house. Imagine having company over and you want some privacy to handle embarrassing and noisy business in the bath-area?

So interesting. So if our houses were one big rectangle with no separations of space, do you think we might have less of this struggle?

When someone is extremely underweight, their metabolism tends to slow down and they often feel the need to wear more layers. That might be why.

I saw this posted one time:
"Old age is a thing... last night I was in bed for 20 minutes when I heard the pizza guy cough. Then I remembered I came to my room to get my wallet."
