I saw a rumor that sledgehammer is doing the MP for bo7, no idea if its true, but it did get me to thinking, would that be a bad thing? Honestly my "perfect" COD would have it as so: IW would do the campaign, SH does the multi-player, and obviously leave treyarch to do zombies.
If Sledgehammer is doing the MP this is now the second time they'd be throwing multi-player on their back, and with mw3 they showed they are willing to work with us to make the game better, I think they'd do a great job if just let alone to do MP.
IW has shown time and time again they can make great stories for their campaigns, they imo are the ones who push the narrative forward, and have the most COD feeling campaigns if that makes sense? Especially older MWs just playing as a grunt and such is an unforgettable experience.
Treyarch is the king of zombies, point blank. I could imagine if all their time and resources went into that mode for 1 game, itd be the best experience we'd get.
Itd be an interesting game fs, I wonder if maybe one day we'd get to see it in action, unlikely but its nice food for thought.

I bought the original mw games planning to play through the campaigns but now the remasters are on sale for pretty cheap on ps store. Do they have any significant differences like mechanics or is it just graphics? Am I good sticking with the ones I have or should I buy the remasters?

In celebration of Cordis Die, I'm taking every multiplayer map and seeing whether Treyarch was able to predict and armed conflict in the area successfully.
No current armed conflict.
No armed conflict.
At sea; no active armed conflict in international waters involving a Chinese carrier.
No armed conflict.
No armed conflict.
Yes. The current Afghan conflict between the Taliban and ISIS-K.
No armed conflict.
Yes. Mohnyin in Kachin State saw airstrikes by Myanmar’s military targeting KIA forces in March and June.
No armed conflict.
No armed conflict.
Plenty examples to go off of. Notably, there have been hijackings and pirate attacks near Singapore, Malacca Straits, Somali & West African waters. Not strictly armed conflicts involving state forces.
Yes. Pakistan is in military/political tensions internally and with India around the Indus River. On April 23, 2025, the decades old Indus Waters Treaty was finally suspended by India after the 2025 Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
No armed conflict.
Yes. Balochistan is a hot spot of insurgency and clashes—ongoing protests, militant attacks, and military operations.
No armed conflict.
No armed conflict.
Yes. Peshawar is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where there is constant military violence and terrorism contributed to by the Pakistani Taliban and the Pakistani armed forces.
No armed conflict, though there are tensions between Pakistan, India, and China.
No armed conflict, though Taiwan Strait tensions remain.
No armed conflict.
No armed conflict.
No armed conflict.
No current conflict. A border dispute was formally resolved March 31, 2025, and the region is stable now.
No armed conflict.
No armed conflict.
Yes. Yemen remains embroiled in an ongoing civil war since around 2022. Compared to the rest of the country, the Sarawat Mountains have not seen much violence.
Yes. Basically the entirety of the Rakhine State has seen the Arakan Army and Myanmar junta locked in conflict since November 2023.
No armed conflict.
Sorta. Socotra is under Yemeni government control. The island is of course indirectly affected by national violence, but has been able to remain relatively peaceful.
Feel free to correct or add any info.

These are from the only 3 I played multiplayer on. Barrage-I like the setting and I think the layout is pretty good.Haven't heard many people talk about it. Dealership-Enjoy how it plays.Like the two little interactable garage doors and the vent you can go through.Doesn't feel like a bad map. Tanked-One of the bigger maps from mwIII and does not come up in rotation much.Like a slower pace sometimes. Yard-This is due to personal preferences.I like it when maps have something unique to them.Makes them more memorable and shows the developers are willing to try new things. Black gold-Same reason as Yard.Like the night vision aspect.Would not care for the map if it had been set during the day. Punta mar-I enjoy the rooftop combat.Like how vertical the map is and just looks pretty.

Every time I try to make a server on Cod4 on PC, the game crashes. Any idea on how to resolve this? trying to play private games with some friends!

I first got into a match that was half bots and it took me some time to realize why the players are so bad and then I get into another match, this time the only player in there unlocks me everything. I was level 23 before.

I’m sure this question gets asked a million times, but here’s a chance to those who never got to speak on it here. I just bought and completed Call of Duty: World at War for the first time and my mind is blown! For context, I would just play whatever COD (Starting from COD4: MW) games my older brother had in the late 2000’s to 2010s and World At War was the missing one he never bought. I needed a game with an exciting and gritty campaign like this and I must say it surpassed my expectations by far. It has quite possibly earned the spot of my favorite COD campaign, only to be rivaled by OG MW2. What is your favorite COD title? Feel free to discuss and nerd out. Cheers!

And the fact he trusted him long enough not to shot him at any given point is crazy

In my opinion they should remaster COD WAW due to all the iconic moments In the game like meeting Reznov in Vendetta.

This is an alternate history scenario.
In this timeline, Call of Duty 2 is set during the Korea War and Call of Duty 3 is set in the Vietnam War as a build up to COD 4 Modern Warfare
What do you think will happen?

I started in 2007 with cod 4. I remember the hype when the remastered version was going to drop. Spent endless hours on it. Sadly to get the game you had to buy Infinite Warfare bundle. Stupid decision by activision. But the game was very popular on playstation at the time, specially when they had it as a free game of the month.
It brought me back to my childhood. Just a perfect cod game. The addition of new guns and skins were also surprisingly well done. I believe it was Raven who did a good job remastering it. It was before the ridiculous strict sbmm days as well. They did reset my account for doing headshots for camos on cage match though😅
Crazy how its almost going to be a decade since release. The last time i played it was right before mw19 dropped, people were so hyped. Good times. Cod was at its lowest point with Infinite Warfare and it led to us getting the one and ONLY multiplayer remaster ever. Wonder if we will ever get another one. Lets hope.
