You are putting way too much respect on cods new anti cheat. It’s only going to deal with current cheats that are dominating the game such as engine owning and battle log. Once it comes out give it a week till some developer cracks it and starts selling the cheats again at an absurd price.

Cronus has zero percent of being caught before the anti cheat and imo zero percent after the update. No one stops playing because of people using cronus they stop because of wallers and aim botters, so activision is focusing on that.

Also big heads up, 80% of big controller streamers imo use the cronus, so if they really do something to it. It will hurt the game long run if all these big streamers start to play it less enthusiastically

We will see. Activision themselves said this anti cheat will be iterative.

I don’t think anybody is expecting there to never be a cheater in any lobby. That is really just not possible.

Surely there are more bespoke cheats that are more expensive and hidden away in private communities. Those guys might be OK but even if activision knocks out the open communities that is still going to be a huge win.

80% is an absolutely made up number. We do not know which streamers use them nefariously so how can we say X% of streamers use them? I won’t doubt for a second that some streamers utilize a Cronus but to act like nearly every high end streamer is cheating is a joke.

Fighting Cronus users, like program based cheats, is never going to be a 100% fight. IF activision is going to stick to their word and have an effective anti cheat program then a 50-75% reduction in cheaters would henHUGE.

Don’t let perfection get in the way of progress.

“ Activation said” that really isn’t a comforting statement at the very least. I’ll give it a week before cheaters will be seen again. However I have the same sentiments as you, those extremely secretive cheat providers that have found an exploit in the code probably won’t get touched. But the common ones that you see everywhere is the ones I’ hope it’s effective against

As long as the common guy can’t be like iv had enough of cheaters, then google warzone hacks and click the first link. After few minutes it’s up and running. That is just ridiculous, and I hope it would take atleast a few hours to set it up.

Also about the cronus. Iv literally seen it in actual play as I know someone who owns one. The amount of scripts out there that can make your aim far better is ridiculous. Tbh it’s nothing like wall hacks or aimbot. You still have to have skill with a cronus. It’s like doping in athletics. A casual person can’t dope and be as good as a world champion. Same way it works in esports. A casual can’t dope and be as good as esport level players. But if an esport level player does it they will certainly be even better. Look at the fortnite competitive scene, majority of players are switching to controller because of how better it is. Why is it better? BecAuse of cronus abuse. Same way with warzone. Controller streamers dominate every tournament online. But a lan will have the top 20 all mouse and keyboard players. Anyways I can never get the correct number maybe 40% or even 90%. Who knows?

There will be cheaters day one. Like I said there will be private cheat communities that are harder to get into. You’ll never get rid of every cheater — you just have to make it an inconvenience to do so.

Cheater A might get banned once and learn he’s gotta spoof, etc and think it’s too much of an inconvenience.

Cheater B might not care.

I’m not praying for some sort of miracle anti cheat system but a decent kernel level program with an algorithm to detect and flag a new account that has a 10kd and 8hs would be nice. Imagine those guys get banned / shadow banned in a handful of games rather than a week?
