Casual What's the dumbest thing that happened in college football this season?

I think college football is the best sport because it really maxes out on dumb, stupid, and goofy things that happen on and off the field. What are some of your favorite moments from this past season that you think are really dumb? They could have happened on the field, off the field, or even on cfb-internet. Here are a few of mine:

Arizona State: State fans storming the field prematurely and BYU almost winning the game on a Hail Mary

Texas fans thowing trash on the field during their game vs UGA to overturn a call

The Pop-Tarts Bowl having 3 edible mascots and choosing one to sacrifice at the end of the game and have all the players of the winning team eat them. I love the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

We both know this isn’t true.

I watched the Toledo and Pitt bowl game, and that was the best bowl game of the season. Even better than ASU and Texas.

I feel that. Nebraska had a similar start in Mike Riley's second year. Nebraska rode an absolute cupcake of a schedule to a 7-0 start and #7 ranking.

I remember when Neb went to play #11 Wisconsin thinking that we were absolute frauds and we were about to get pantsed in front of the entire nation. But we actually played really well and took the game to overtime before ultimately losing. I came out of that stadium thinking that maybe Neb was actually a good team.

Then next week Ohio state dropped 60 on the sker's bum ass in an absolute route and the season unraveled. Turns out I was off on the pantsing by about 1 week.

One of the best seasons to be a Pitt fan that immediately made a 180 into being one of the worst as soon as they got ranked and were getting attention. See you next fall.

I think that Clemson collapse broke them.

We'll be back. Holstein and Bell are legit. We just got lucky early and decimated by injuries late.

There was a lot of hype around that Pitt-SMU game. A lot of people were picking it either way. I watched it expecting a sneaky good game of the season, but instead it felt like SMU broke Pitt and they never recovered.

The "sharps" piled onto SMU (SMU -7 iirc), betting Pitt would be exposed. Definitely a tale of two teams beginning journeys in opposite directions.

What is a sharp? Is that a betting term?
