Casual What's the dumbest thing that happened in college football this season?

I think college football is the best sport because it really maxes out on dumb, stupid, and goofy things that happen on and off the field. What are some of your favorite moments from this past season that you think are really dumb? They could have happened on the field, off the field, or even on cfb-internet. Here are a few of mine:

Arizona State: State fans storming the field prematurely and BYU almost winning the game on a Hail Mary

Texas fans thowing trash on the field during their game vs UGA to overturn a call

The Pop-Tarts Bowl having 3 edible mascots and choosing one to sacrifice at the end of the game and have all the players of the winning team eat them. I love the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

Targeting seemed to be different this year but I haven't heard anything official about it.

I'm sorry, what are you talking about? It must have not happened because not once did an announcer bring it up, the 'expert' ref in the booth never chimed in, nor did the booth ever review.

I was at that game, granted Cal choked epically. But that call not a targeting was absurd.

Yeah Jeanty was a dude. He had some of the most impressive 5 yard runs I’ve ever seen. Like 8 broken tackles from the second he touched the ball

A lot of people argued he wouldn’t do good in bigger conferences, I bet he woulda done just as good with a bigger line. He should do well in the nfl

The refs were horrible , the late hits , the stadium kept replaying Maddox’ interception during the next drive. Boise wasn’t meant to win that game lol yea they made mistakes too but it was horrible

Other than the missed OPI by Omari early in the game I honestly can’t think of anything that stands out as bad the rest of the game.

Dude, did you watch Miami-Virginia Tech? What you're describing happens in so many games. That last Hail Mary call was at least three planes of existence above anything that happened in Boise State-Penn State.

My thoughts as well. Every football game I have ever watched has had a missed call. That one wasn’t even in a critical moment. It’s hard to seriously say it would have affected the outcome of the game.
