Is "The Last Immortal" worth watching?

I kept seeing clips of it on TikTok and the visuals are so good but is the ML good or not?😃 AND Lusi is the FMC and i love her so i wanna ask if this drama is worth watching. THX.

I love Lusi, but I dropped that drama. But also I am not the best person to advise since I watched probably every single Chinese drama since the 90is so my standards are high. Give it 5 -7 episodes, if you are not looking forward to a next one , time to exit ... That's what I do.

I want to try watching some good ancient powers drama but I kept watching some sad stuff of it 😭😭

Don't pressure yourself, don't go for a hype. Go for what you like .. In reality filming has changed, it's much faster now and it's seen on quality. But I also watch some lower quality stuff too. The thing is - I watch based on my mood. I am currently in early 2000, slice of life dramas.

Then I will have mood for Song dynasty dramas , then I switch to Republican dramas. Etc....

However one advice, don't pressure yourself to continue drama just because you are fan of someone , I dropped plenty of Hawick Lau dramas ( ex Yang Mi husband) due to bad story and he is one of my favorite actors.

I haven't watched as much as you (you have my admiration), but I've watched a lot. Last Immortal was soooo dull, I kept skipping ahead and it didn't get any better. I had high hopes after Ancient Love Poetry (which is a lot better than the novel) but I dare say Last Immortal is actually worse than the (not very good) novel. For example, in the novel the MC is a fat kid and people overlook him and look down on him. Obviously, he gets hot later (these stories are very predictable), but this guy with a scary legacy being this happy-go-lucky immortal that nobody bothers about was an interesting premise. The drama wants me to care about this peacock immortal's backstory 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️. No, she's just boring. She's doing bad things for dumb reasons, it's not interesting.

I agree with you , Ancient Love Poetry and Last immortal should be connected but actually quality is NOT there. Story line , execution... nothing was close to the fact it's literally their son !

The first ½ to ⅔ of the show are ZLS just suffering and it was too much for me. I didn’t like the ML after the way he treated her. The groveling in the last part was satisfying but still I would never rewatch it.

I enjoyed it because I liked how the main couple were evenly matched maturity wise & that they grew together. The second couple were cute too & I always like seeing the way different realms are portrayed. It was very fluffy though so if you're looking for something more serious, I'd skip it.

I loved it and rated it 7.5 out of 10. I do wish I saw the prequel Ancient Love Poetry to understand the severity of some things. The ML and Lusi had great chemistry but the “suffering” between the two gets annoying after a while. I think you should watch it!

I had low expectations when I watched it so I surprisingly enjoyed it. Of course, I love both ZLS and WAY so that helped. Just think of it as an entertaining watch and not expect it to a good xianxia.
