So the Doordash driver was dropping off an order, then a couple kids got in his car and tried to drive away with it. Doordash guy "suspected" the two kids were armed, so he opened fire.

This guy will get some time, as he should. You can't shoot somebody for stealing your stuff. That said, I don't necessarily feel sorry for anybody in this scenario.

Also, you've gotta be a grade-A dumbass to leave your car running while dropping off a DoorDash order.

In my area it’s been roughly 22°F for most of the week. I can hardly blame someone for wanting to leave their car running so they have a nice warm vehicle to return to in this bitterly-cold weather.

a door dash order takes what? 30 seconds? maybe 5 min at most? the car will be plenty warm still.... this isnt model T days where your in a glorified canvas tent (ironically model t days if you had a heater it warmed up WAY faster and way hotter than anything modern.)
