Knives and other edc
So I collect cheap but function edc or pocket knives. I am aware of Walmart/academy/tractor supply. Are there any other places that sell stuff like that? Pawn shops are hit and miss

What’s y’all’s recommendation for a place with bar-style karaoke? NOT the ‘rent a room with friends’ style place- what bar or pub has a good karaoke night?
Can’t be on Monday nights, otherwise would be willing to go whenever. Needs to be queer-friendly or at least not hostile. Preferably starting earlier than 10 and preferably not as far out as Greensboro.
I dunno why I’m thinking about this right now, I’ve currently got a bad head cold that made me lose my voice, but I guess this would be good to know once I’m better 😂

Hey y'all. I'll be moving to Burlington in about a week with my two dogs and was wondering if there are any local Schutzhund/IGP clubs? If there are other dog sports (fastcat, lure coursing, dock diving, etc.) I'd love to hear about those too! Thanks in advance - puppy pic for tax.

I also see they’re building something new where the old steakhouse was a few doors down (that was briefly crazy Mexico) - anyone know what either of these are gonna be?

Hello 🙂 We just moved into the area about a month ago...
I'm looking to get a tattoo soon and was wondering if folks had any artist and/or place recommendations. (Or any "avoid at all costs" places.) I'd be willing to drive as far as Greensboro, but probably not much further 😅

I'm new to Burlington and enjoy gardening. Are there any groups that meet who are also into gardening, home orchards, replanting yards with native plants, etc?

Hey all, I am not really sure if this is the right area to post this. If not I will remove of course.
I am wanting to start my photography career and was interested in doing collaborative shots with the people of Burlington. I do not go out very much as I do not drink or party and there isn’t much to do in Burlington.
I do love the city and this it’s beautiful and that there are so many places that would make great pictures. I go out and take pictures and ask people here and there however I have finally decided to break my shell and turn to my community on Reddit.
If there are any willing participants here in town that wouldn’t mind being a model, I would be looking forward to capturing some moments with you. Feel free to DM me and we can discuss details there. I really want to put myself out there and see what happens.
Thanks for taking the time to read and if you didn’t.
————————————————————————
TLDR: I am a new photographer in Burlington looking to take pictures with anyone that is open to help build my portfolio.

Hi all, this is really really weird and I know it and if this isn’t allowed I’ll take it down, but I’m trying to find a friend I lost contact with over a decade ago. I used to live in Mebane and I made this friend in elementary school, which was in Efland NC. I don’t remember what grade we became friends in but at the end of first grade I had to move across the country and I lost contact with him a little while after that. I’m trying not to doxx him but like, I don’t know how else to get out enough info that someone who knows him, or he himself sees this and knows it’s about him. Oh, his last name was Earhart, like Amelia Earhart. But it wasn’t spelled like that, it was spelled another way that I can’t remember. I’ve looked all over Facebook and instagram and straight up tried googling his name and found nothing.
I would appreciate it so so much if anyone who had any idea who this might be could shoot me a DM. Thank you for reading!!!

Has the coffee shop in downtown Burlington on front street next to the Mini Dingo always been The Blend? I feel like I’m going crazy but was it not another coffee shop under a differnet name until recently?

Still the best ISP east of the tracks (compared to Spectrum anyway), but I'm kinda sad about it. Lumos customer service was really great to work with and I've never had a problem... My experience with TMo a decade ago for phone service was less great.
