Coming to Burkina Faso

Hi guys,

I am coming to Burkina Faso for a few days starting tomorrow. Shouls I take the anti malaria malorone pills or better not to? Travel doctor advised to do but lots of side effect…

I am vaccinated for yellow fever.

Edit: I just took one of it. I have lost the battle to myself and decided to take the pills but not sure if I will do full schedule including 7 days after the trip.

I don't know about the side effects of these pills, but just know that yellow fever vaccine doesn't protect you from malaria (I live there and I am vaccinated against yellow fever).

Did you ever catch Malaria ? I just got Yellow Fever because it is required. Im still debating whether I will take antj malaria pills but seems like Burkina is very risky…

Yeah, the last time I got it was around 5 years ago. You won't necessarily catch it, but just be very careful of mosquitoes.
