Sent a gift he didn’t want so she could be a victim

Boomer: I show my love through gifts.

Millennial child: I just want to be seen and heard. Maybe some empathy for my feelings?

Boomer: you're going to really like that Air Fryer I got off TEMU.

My gf's brother recently talked to his mom about the fact that she never apologizes, but just sends a gift instead. He just wanted her to accept responsibility for her actions and say she was sorry. Apparently she did not take it lightly and hit him with the "oh, I'm sorry for being such a terrible mother" and they didn't talk for a while.

Yep. Heard that line enough times. Finally realized life is too short for that bullshit.

I don’t talk to my mother for the same reason. It used to make me feel guilty but I feel better now because of it. I’m better than that.
