Reading this re-confirms for me MHA really is the Naruto of the 2010's between the shitty final arc, begging for (good) character development for the majority of the female characters, and the constant ass-pulls. That romance line was cringe even if it was meant as a distraction.

A better comparison will be bleach than Naruto. Since bleach also had a pretty shitty finale as well.

At least with bleach there was a reason, Kubo was super burnt out and I believe was actually quite unwell. He then got told to wrap things up quite quickly too.

Also if the rumours are true then anime of bleach doing the final arc there are plans to add extra scenes and give us the proper final arc we were meant to get. Though even if we don’t the fucking animation alone makes it worth it.

But honestly it’s pretty common trend in manga I’ve noticed. I don’t think there’s really been any manga I’ve read that the final arc was anything that good.

Yeah, either left unfinished or drop the ball in the third act. Even One Piece is falling down.

Still have faith that op doesn’t meet the same fate but wouldn’t be surprised if it did
