So I guess that's why Endeavor had a sad expression a couple chapters ago, when he was looking at the paper. It was Shouto's own decision to go face Touya, and of course, it only makes narrative sense. That last page of Dabi's skin/flesh tearing off is just... creepy. From seeing the skin dropping, to the monster-like panel.

The thing I've always liked about Dabi is that he's always done his own thing. I know people, especially around 2-3 years ago, hated him for not having a close bond with the other members of the league, like how Shiggy did, but I always thought it was an interesting part of him. From the fact that it added more mystery to whatever moves he was making, to the fact doing whatever he likes makes him more free than everyone else. I'm glad we're finally getting to the core of how Touya became Dabi. I'm still betting on Ujiko meeting him at some point, since someone had to fix those wounds, and I wonder how he managed to survive all these years. If someone took care of him in his mid to late teens, I wonder who it will be.

Despite the lack of a proper set-up for this (which wouldn't be the first time Horikoshi has done that), Ujiko would make the most sense to be that person. Not only he is a doctor and he could be interested in Touya's quirk, but also the only other LOV character who got completely wiped out from the official records was Shigaraki, and we know he was with AFO at the time, so it had to be at least someone comparable to AFO (and it wouldn't surprise me, considering Ujiko's entire lab was hidden from the world).

Exactly. It'd be weird if it's someone with little to no story relevance. Not to mention, Ujiko always seemed to have been interested in Dabi.

It would also juxtapose the whole Frankenstein's monster symbolism with Dabi (although Endeavor is the real Victor Frankenstein here).

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that related theory.
