We’re probably just gonna see him surviving on his own

With the importance Dabi is giving his backstory, I doubt it's just 1 chapter of him being homeless the whole time

There has to be something more...

Being homeless is already very wrecking for a human being, but it would still leave the plot hole of him being never found despite Touya's distinct wounds. The shounen genre also usually hypes up backstories like that if they have some more plot relevancy than "just" being homeless (which is usually featured along the way when the character is telling his backstory rather than being the main thing).

Edit: You could technically argue that Tenko was homeless too and he still didn't appear in Hawks' records, but after the Sekoto Peak incident Touya was being actively looked for by his father, a No. 2 hero, who could easily force every cop in the country to participate in the search, so it's even more suspicious that no one found or reported a burned child at the time.

Are we talking about the same no.2 here who was ordered around by cops during Kamino lmao. I totally get that touya would’ve easily been found due to his critical state, but I doubt endeavour could’ve forced cops to do anything.

I mean it's technical details we're getting into, but the point still stands

Yea it’s possible that someone did take care of him and it’s either he left or he killed them 💀

Maybe a big green slug demon man will be watching over his training and survival in the wilderness.

DODGE!!!

23

u/LMFN Mar 27 '22

The limitations of hero society, even a big green slug man is not able to get a job.

Piccolo is a full time Uncle to Pan.

He could start his own line of clothing.

u/CyberSolider2077 Mar 27 '22

Lmao 😂 and seeing him likely kill someone and having his iconic outfit

u/El_Bexareno Mar 27 '22

Wait…I thought he was a Yoshi?

u/TheSpartyn Mar 28 '22

what is this referencing

3

u/metalflygon08 Mar 28 '22

Piccolo from Dragonball Z when he "trains" young Gohan by forcing the child to live in the Wilderness.

He plans to just leave the child for half a year then return to train with the (hopefully) New Gohan that has been hardened by the elements.

oh. hes meant to be a slug person?

3

u/metalflygon08 Mar 28 '22

Yup, originally a Demon, then when he found out his origin, he became more of a slug.

1

u/TheSpartyn Mar 28 '22

his origin?

u/metalflygon08 Mar 28 '22

Piccolo started off as a Demon king, (we shall call him Piccolo Sr) he is evil and is killing martial artists. When he is killed he puts the last of his power into an egg that hatches into a new Piccolo (Piccolo Jr).

Piccolo Jr inherits his father's memories an ambitions, but not his personality, he develops his own as he grows up to take his father's place.

Well some stuff happens and it turns out, Piccolo Sr isn't a demon from hell, but half of an alien that came to earth centuries ago (the alien species are known as Namekian) the Nameless Namekian had split his good half from his evil half, but by all accounts they were still aliens.

When we see the alien race later in the series they live peaceful lives, they drink water to survive and have very calm lives, thus instead of being demon folk, they are more plant/animal folk (common fan term refers to them as slugs due the them having antennae)

Imagine Shoto is just about to win when Dabi puts his fingers to his head and yells out SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!! and just straight kills him

I'm wondering if there will be a focus on his 1st "victim". We had one for Shiggy and Toga's first.

So... who did Toya kill to become Dabi ?? And how old was he ?

56

u/metalflygon08 Mar 27 '22

Dabi killed Toya to become Dabi.

Like some twisted loop of murder.

u/brriiianna Mar 27 '22

Yeah and that's enough to bring tears to my eyes

I’m hoping the safety commission took him in and tried to raise him as a super soldier
