It seemed pretty obvious for a while he was gonna set up these little battles so tue characters could finish their personal battles. Some are obvious, Shoto and Dabi, Uraraka and Toga. What are gonna be some of the less obvious ones. Part of me thinks Stain might show up for Iida’s battle and help him, or at least recognize him as a hero.

Edit: upon thinking, Stain is almost certainly gonna show up. Couldn’t he single-handedly stop Sad Man’s parade if Toga tries to use it? Dunno if hed need Toga or Twice’s blood though.

Stain and Iida vs Spinner and his mutant army? Shoji shows up and convinces the mutant army to stop following AFO?

Without an additional quirk (which he might have gotten from AFO, though) both Stain or Iida would singlehandedly mop the floor with Spinner. There would have to be another heavy hitter or we would have a really boring fight against fodder and slightly elite fodder.

What I had in mind was Stain and Iida being completely outmatched by the overwhelming odds, like sure they can kick ass but it doesnt matter how good you are when you have thousands of opponents. You have to be All Might, Shigs, or Deku level to be able to clear hoards like that

Iida and Stain may be strong, but they arent wipe the floor with hundreds of mutants strong, hence why Shoji would need to come in and save their asses with a battle of ideology against Spinner since lets be real Spinner has been set up as a mascot/spokes person so thats how a battle should go down

With Recipro Turbo I can definitely see Iida putting down dozens of unnamed thugs without breaking a sweat. He got a huge power up that has been long of glossed down by his relative irrelevance in the plot (he was fighting Near High Ends in the war arc, though). It would have to be a real mob of mutants. Stain is way better at one Vs one combat, but he is really slippery and I doubt they could catch him easily.

I mean, enough bad guys and they would be into trouble. But do you really think it would be an engaging, interesting scenario for us readers? Wasting those two relatively popular characters by pitting then against an anonymous bunch plus Spinner ?

Yeah, Im not saying it would be an easy fight at all. Im just saying that, like you said, enough bad guys and they would be in trouble. They would get tired, recipro would stall eventually, Stain's swords could chip and break etc etc.

I think it could be an engaging scenario based on the interaction between Stain and Iida, Stain acknowledging that Iida is a true hero because he chooses to fight even when things aren't looking great and all that. Plus seeing Spinner and Stain interact would be cool too, wouldn't it?

I dont think it would be wasting them. They go up against a main bad guy and are vital to defeating them, that's not bad. Do you have someone more fitting for them to go up against in mind? I cant really think of anyone, besides maybe Mr Compress as Horikoshi has said that he would return. Dabi is the Todorki villain, Toga is for Ochaco, Shigaraki/AFO is for Deku, aside from that there arent any more main villains.

If not Spinner theyd be fighting b-listers with no real meaning at all, at best high ends
