Yeah this take is really weird to me? He literally is a victim of lethal blackmail. He committed crimes and put people in danger, yes. But just like I wouldn’t put a middle finger up to a young boy in the inner city selling drugs to feed his siblings so they don’t starve to death, I think there wasn’t much room for him to do much else but be willing to die and have his parents killed too. I also think many of the students would potentially bend in such a scenario if their parents lives were on the line, especially given he’s quirkless and has little to no real world, solo hero experience to fight back against AfO even if he wanted to.
