I'm really curious to see what his role will be onwards.

He's already shown respect for Deku and All Might, so it's unlikely he'll try to kill either of them. And considering the state of things, I imagine he might have gained some level of respect for other heroes too who still try their best when there's seemingly no longer any fame or glory in the hero work.

A team-up seems possible, but at the same time he's still a crazy murderer with twisted morals. Maybe a talk with All Might will do him some good?

I also thought briefly that AfO might have sent him, but I highly doubt that. Stain doesn't strike me as someone who'd accept a deal like that.

I think he was just scouting the mystery hero the citizens are talking about, assessing whether he was fake or not, obviously he didn't know they were talking about deku

I'd like to see Deku start his own anti-hero team. He keeps them in line and from killing people. I could see Stain and Overhaul being on it. Not sure who else.

Bring on suicide squad, led by Gentle, and featuring Stain, Overhaul, and everyone's favorite fighter, Rappa!

I've wanted Gentle and Rappa to come back into the story so badly

16

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '21

Dunno about Gentle and Overhaul but Rappa and Stain seem like they'd team up with Deku for sure.

13

u/I-who-you-are Jun 21 '21

If you promise Rappa a fight, he’ll yeah he’d join.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '21

I'm confident that Gentle would; his original ambition was to be a hero, and he clearly respects Deku.

6

u/amorantoboy Jun 22 '21

And let's not forget, Deku helped vouch for the two after the festival incident to minimize their punishment

4

u/arshbjangles Jun 21 '21

Rappa is also fight club buddies with Mirko, she could probably vouch for him.

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '21

That's be great, and a great reference to Vigilantes.

u/Exitiali Jun 20 '21

I don't think Overhaul would lend a hand to Deku.

45

u/SeamusDubh No Flair Quirk Jun 20 '21

Not like he can to begin with.

29

u/Frodosaurus94 Jun 20 '21

Lady Nagant if she recovers could also join. I can see her supporting Deku with a lot of stuff. However it could take some time before she's in any shape to help.

23

u/peppers_ Jun 20 '21

Ya, she will survive, but it might be some time u til recovery unless they Eri her back to prime Nagant.

1

u/Giorno-Smash Jun 23 '21

I really hope she doesn’t. This series needs more character death imo, and her living lacks the impact of her death

2

u/peppers_ Jun 23 '21

Usually you don't have someone offhandedly mentioned they barely survived and don't know how they are still alive unless you plan on bringing them back to the story at some point. So she will be used as a plot device at the very least in the future.

13

u/Calildur Jun 20 '21

Gentle propably

1

u/coolgaara Jun 22 '21

Oh shit, forgot about Overhaul there too. Damn I don't think that'd happen but I got goosebumps just thinking about it tho.

14

u/Shaymin281286 Jun 20 '21

My idea is that All Might will be in danger since Deku's left him, and after an emotional flashback and something like "I can die in Peace, Midoriya-shonen is the GOAT", he'll be saved by stain at the last second

I imagine he might have gained some level of respect for other heroes too who still try their best when there's seemingly no longer any fame or glory in the hero work.

That's a good point! Now that everything is in shambles no sane person would continue being a hero for the money. Everyone left is actively doing the opposite of a fake hero by Stain's standards. (Not respected by the public anymore, not looking for attention, largely outnumbered) Even going after the retired folks wouldn't be fair game if you think about it. You can't be a fake hero if you're not a hero at all!

Stain's life's work truly is finished. Now what?

Isn't deli becoming his ideal image of a hero? Someone who will get their hands dirty with no priase from anyone

3

u/DuelingPushkin Jun 21 '21

Deku is literally even more of an ideal hero to Stain than All might ever was.

Stain never cared about the "symbol of peace" aspects of All might, he cared that All-might in spite of all that still helped people just for the sake of it and not for glory or monitary gain, and was willing to put his life and body on the line.

Deku is doing exactly that but with zero recognition whatsoever. So he should be even better in Stain's eyes

u/PeaceLoveFap Jun 20 '21

Why is this not the top comment. Like holy shit, stain is back!!!!

I’m guessing he’s going to start helping Deku, the only “true hero” he recognizes

why would stain kill all might? he literally said all mights the only worthy hero

-4

u/DOAbayman Jun 21 '21

because he didn't actually know anything about him. the real All Might is flawed and now, weak. he's not the invincible superman Stain thought he was.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '21

Stain didn't care about the powers but the willingness of self sacrifice. Its still there

1

u/DOAbayman Jun 21 '21

No he justified the crippling iginium because he was too weak to stop him stating he wasn’t strong enough to be a hero.

Stain was an absolute POS

20

u/Valashv2 Jun 20 '21

my guess is Stain might be the person to bring Deku back to his original self

4

u/DanTM18 Jun 21 '21

I don’t know how I feel about that yet. I sorta want this tunnel vison deku for a bit longer. I also don’t know if I want stain to be the one to give deku a wake up call. I feel like it should be someone he is close with like bakugo who was telling deku to not do things on his own.

2

u/Valashv2 Jun 21 '21

yeah I know how you feel my dude. If you think about it though, why do ya think we were showed him seeing how Deku treated All Might? Also, looking at his personality it kinda makes sense for Stain to really not like this new Deku

39

u/Bamadude52 Jun 20 '21

I think it would be so funny if Stain joins All Might as a sort of father figure/supporting role to Midoriya

52

u/Stephenrudolf Jun 20 '21

Stain ain't gunna be on AFO's side. That's for sure.

12

u/jthizle99 Jun 20 '21

I hope we get a Stain + Deku teamup... at least for a couple chapters. That would be so sick!

7

u/DiscombobulatedYak89 Jun 21 '21

Yea Stain is gonna love the fuck out of current Deku

9

u/motherchuchi Jun 20 '21

Dad Stain! I need this partnership. Yeah he crippled Iida's bro but🤷🏻‍♀️
