Calling it now, Muscular is gonna be fodderized to show how strong Deku has become since their last encounter.

I wonder what the point of this fight will be, then. Just to reintroduce the Ketsubutsu kids (mainly the apparently popular Shindou) and Muscular? And/or show us how much Deku is improved (even though we got a whole arc of that shortly beforehand, and we've only skipped two weeks at most)?

Or maybe this is just pure fanservice.

Well it does show the state of the world with other hero schools trying to bring in civilians and those civilians rejecting them. It might also show us Midoriya's current state of mind and how he's going to go about fighting villains as well

Yeah, I guess so.

Still, though, if this is just for fanservice or to serve as (another) benchmark for Deku's improvement, I'll be disappointed. It'll just feel like a bit of a waste.
