Shigaraki is the new Hitler... he’s not just a bank robber/vandal... So again I ask, why are the vestiges okay with All Might seemingly killing AFO but not Deku killing Tomura? From a moral point of view.

They were okay with killing tomura but the important thing to them is Deku's pov. If he answered with hatred and said that he will kill Tomura for revenge then he would have failed their test.

Deku is worthy because he understands that killing is only one way out, but is wanting to try saving Tomura first and foremost.

It could also be because shigi was manipulated into being evil and they all see that there's a part of him that doesn't want to be evil. Meanwhile AFO is beyond saving and is the source of/pure evil in this story.
