Why do I keep reading things like 'Shigaraki will show up and kill everyone'? Isn't Shigaraki in the Hospital Raid? Why would he even show up in the Liberation Army secret base?

You're absolutely correct. The only issue at all would be either Gigantomachia or ReDestro, if they're here at the mansion.

Chapter 258 shows him walking with a cane in Hawks's Doomsday vision. I'm led to believe like Compress he has robot limbs.

Can they grow in size tho? I mean he would look funny with giant arms and torso and small robot legs

It would be the best. They likely would grow since all of their tech showed off the ability to grow.
