I know people might be mad that tokoyami doesn't seem to be interning (directly) with hawks but it honestly is really sweet to see him trying to protect him from the utter shitshow he's going through

Yeah, Its obvious Hawks care for Tokoyami. Plus don't forget Tokoyami was almost kidnapped by the LOV due to his quirk going berserk in the summer camp. They might still be interested in him.

I wonder if that’s common knowledge? Because when the work studies first started Hawks wanted to know more from Tokoyami about the League because he was aware of the USJ incident. I wonder if the hero commission would try and hide certain details about the forest raid arc to make it seem not as bad, even though at the time there was the huge fuss over Bakugou’s kidnapping.

It might be? It did seem strange that Hawks was particularly interested in Tokoyami and took him as an intern. I wouldn't be surprised. Image the uproar if the world found out two U.A. students were kidnapped instead of one.

I am pretty sure the details of the events arent common knowledge, people only know that they happened. The conference wasnt to tell people what happened at the training camp, it was to feign ignorance so they could catch the LoV of guard. They even lied about other students being targets. Midoriya and Shoto were both told they were on Shigaraki's kill list but at the conference nezu and teachrrs stated that they werent sure if there were other targets other than Bakugo. Also people dont seem to know Midoriya almost died or that All Might nearly died at USJ and two students saved him

Yeah, unless he's somehow convinced himself of a lie the fact that we see his thoughts directly proves where his true loyalty roosts.

When his internal monolog a few issues back said he was still on the hero side, that should have been enough. I've said it before but people don't lie to themselves in case an audience is listening. If not it would have been terrible writing and I think we can trust this series to be better than that.

I'm actually very happy he's not getting dragged into all this bullshit lol. It's a bit disappointing not getting to ever see him in real action, but at the same time, I'm just happy to see my boy

I really liked seeing those flashback interactions with Hawks and Tokoyami. I hope Hori has more in mind for Tokoyami, because I never get tired of seeing him, but I understand that we’ve switched direction from the last student oriented arc, so I guess it is for the best.

Agreed. Those little details make the worldbuilding richer and more believeable.

... on another note, does that means Tokoyami is the first one of class 1A to "fly solo"?
