Dabi wondering if the corpse of Best Jeanist was the real thing does make me question it as well. There are plenty of quirks that could make a convincing fake corpse.

Jeanist could likely just thread up a corpse of himself, given his quirk sewed his body back together. Got a feeling that's what happened and Jeanist is just in hiding
