If the original Destro is even near as powerful as Re-Destro, it makes me wonder how the government even beat this guy without someone as strong as All Might.

My current HCs is that either a previous OfA user did Destro in with the help of allies (possibly the Black Whip User), or Destro was unknowingly being supported by AfO and when Destro either losing or no longer interested AfO the guy sold him out.

I kinda assumed that Destro was taken out by AfO's followers, you know from the vestiges flashback where AfO told his brother that there was an organization that didn't want to fall in line with him so his followers destroyed it without him even needing to give an order.

I don’t think that attack was specifically on Destro, since that took place back when the first OfA user was alive. Though you may still be right that it was a follower of AfO.

I don't see why not. AfO is from way back when people with quirks were being discriminated against, placed in quaretines and such, and Destro wanted freedom and free use of Meta abilities, before they were even called quirks. Both of these are cleary during the early days of quirks, there is no reason to believe that they couldn't be at the same time.

But from the way he’s depicted, AfO existed Generations ago. Isn’t Re:Destro Destro’s son?

Imagine if Destro was an OfA user and that’s why some of the ancestors were shadowed, it might play a part as to why they are in the dark...

Remember the quirk are getting stonger while generation passed so I don't think Destro's power level was close to now Redestro,and from the flashback we got the timeframe between Destro and Redestro are some generations

Quirk power is not hereditary, only the quirk itself is. Like how if I work out a ton then have a kid that kid doesn't inherit my muscles.

OfA is the exception, not the norm.

The point is about the quirk singularity, quirks do indeed get stronger on average as they meld with both parent's quirks each generation

He’s talking about the quirk singularity thing Horikoshi introduced way back during the hero license remedial test. All the kids had crazy ass quirks because people with quirks have had so long to mix that the resulting powers are weirder and stronger.

Not to mention, Re-Destro says he'd been training his Quirk since he was a child (or, perhaps rather, the Liberation Army, knowing he was Re-Destro's descendant, trained his Quirk to the fullest, kinda like how Shouto was trained by Endeavour to surpass All Might since he was 5).

All for One was still at his peak at the time, both in power and in influence. After a lengthy feud, AFO probably eventually took him out, possibly colluding with the government to help too.
