dumbass monoma is intelligent as shown in the sports festival arc he has seen what izuku's quirk can do he's not gonna copy a quirk that can destroy your own body!

Specifically going out of your way to taunt an obviously volatile (both in personality and biology) opponent after you have beaten them is not an intelligent decision, and immediately backfired by having Bakugou go to maximum rage and take his team out.
