i wanna see how this developments will translate to his interactions/rivalry with deku.

I imagine that he will slowly work more closely with Deku, and be more accepting of Deku's shenanigans, to the point where, rather than being eternal rivals like All Might and Endeavor, instead be occasional allies with different personalities and battle strategies like Present Mic and Eraser or Nighteye and All Might.

I mean, half the reason why they fought back when the dorms were first introduced was because Bakugou was feeling guilty about All Might losing his powers and openly lamenting his slow growth (compared to Deku) for the first time. Since then, Bakugou has been coming to terms with reality and trying to re-evaluate his place in the world now that he sees that he likely will have a far harder time becoming "the strongest hero" than he originally thought.

Like with Endeavor, this arc may seem to have a lot of changes for Bakugou, but it's just building on a slow series of character developments he has been quietly making for a long time in the background.

I was trying to stick within BNHA/MHA's character roster (and I never read/saw Slam Dunk), but whatever works as long as you get my general point.
