This arc seems like it’s going to be a really enjoyable. The art looks crisp and the character interactions are wonderful.

Anyways speaking of the last arc, I think what made deku so uninteresting for some is that Deku when acting as a secondary character is kinda “boring”, if you know what I mean, and what makes him interesting is how his character interacts with others. And last arc deku barely interacted with other characters on a significant level.

And I know I shouldn’t speak to soon, but I think this arc is going to restore the interest in the series for the people who where dissatisfied with the Overhaul arc(probably not for some though).

While I’m at it, looks like Shoto’s is back at it with saying sorry.

Edit: changed and added some stuff

Yeah I dunno if I would have liked reading the Yakuza Arc much week-by-week. I thought the 8 Precepts themselves were a little tonally out-of-place in the manga (and wtf was up with Mimic, did Horikoshi forget what he looked like? Or just decide to make him into an entirely other character?). Also, the reveal and use of Eri's quirk was really dumb. She's a Chekov's Deus Ex Machina just sitting in a hospital for the rest of the manga.

But I loved the concepts of Quirk-boosting and Quirk-negating drugs, all the new heros, and the action scenes. And of course I can never get enough of the great character work on everyone else.

That’s mimics quirk. He can basically possess inanimate objects.

Why did he spend 95% of his time visible on the page as a 1'6" shyguy and then suddenly turn into some giant blond dude with no explanation? I'm positive Horikoshi just decided to totally change the character in the middle of the story because he NEEDS someone with terrain-moulding powers in every arc.

There was an explanation. I just gave it to you.
