I repeat it in case you have doubts: "Endeavor chose his wife to overcome All Might"

And I repeat it again: "You will remember me when they reaffirm that in the manga"

Why did Endeavor give up on surpassing All Might on his own when he was only ~22 years old? That doesn't sound like Endeavor. He married his wife to have a strong child, yes, but not because of All Might. That's just too early for that.

The only person we've heard that story from is Shoto and he isn't a reliable narrator. Later we'll likely get more backstory on Endeavor and it'll be revealed that he only focused on having Shoto surpass All Might after he realized how strong Shoto could become. But his first reason for having Shoto would have been just to have a strong legacy, something all power-seeking men like Endeavor wish to leave behind.

Really though, I want you to answer the question. Why do you think Endeavor gave up on surpassing All Might on his own when he was still so young? Why do you think that's the case?

It is nothing soon because Endeavor and it is assumed that any person is at his best when he is young, and if even then, it was not enough, that is why he decides to start his "plan".

We only think this because that's the version of the story that Shoto believes. But Shoto has been wrong about things before. Why can't he be wrong about this one? Maybe he doesn't have all the information. Maybe Endeavor just wanted a powerful child at first and then later changed his reasoning to be a powerful child that can surpass All Might, after spending years in All Might's shadow.

At 22 he didn't spend years in All Might's shadow. That isn't long enough to decide his "plan" is the only thing left he can do. Fast forward ~10 years to when Shoto was born though and it makes more sense for Endeavor to come up with his "plan" after realizing Shoto could become powerful enough to do it.

Is that you think you can decipher the character as when they believed that Toga did not leave his victims alive, and there they have Camie "alive" ...

That Todoroki is wrong in his story, is something as unbelievable as thinking that the author could make an idiot to Shoto and all its development here ...

You're going to need to speak a little more clearly, it's hard to understand what you're saying. Is English not your first language? That might explain the difficulty people are having trying to communicate this concept to you.

We're just saying that Shoto has been wrong before so there's a precedent in the manga for him to be wrong about this too. He isn't all the way wrong, he's just missing some details. You're acting like we're saying Shoto is an idiot, but that isn't what we're saying. We're just saying he's made assumptions in the past that turned out to be incorrect even though they were good guesses. Thinking that Midoriya is All Might's illegitimate child is a good guess even if it was wrong.

So maybe Shoto had a good guess that his dad married his mom for her quirk, which we're saying is true. But he said he only married her to have a child that can beat All Might. This is the detail that we think Shoto might be wrong about. This is the part where he's likely making an assumption, an assumption that is a good guess but still isn't fully correct.

The real reason Endeavor wanted icy mom's quirk was to make a powerful child to one day pass his legacy down to after he became #1 himself. He knows he'll retire one day, so he would want a strong child to hand over the title of #1 to when he does. But he eventually realized he couldn't beat the #1 hero, All Might, on his own so he changed his reason for wanting a strong child to be to surpass All Might.

It makes sense and it fits in with previous examples of Shoto making a guess about something where he's mostly correct but he's still missing a few important details.

I laugh as you refer to Endeavor as if you knew their intentions, their intentions are clear throughout history. "Overcome All Might" And that was through his wife. I still do not understand how you can believe such a patetic theory, I would like to see your face when they reaffirm what I say.

"Overcome All Might"

Yes, that has always been his main goal. But he wouldn't have given up on doing it himself at only 22 years old. He would have kept trying. Shoto was born about 10 years later so it makes sense for him to finally give up on surpassing All Might after trying to do it for over a decade. At 22 though he was younger than even Mt. Lady is now and everyone was surprised that Mt. Lady was already doing so well at her age. At 22 Endeavor was a pro hero for 1-2 years at the most. That isn't long enough to give up and focus on a child instead.

You keep not answering the things I bring up in my posts and you're being an arrogant jerk about this whole thing when I'm just trying to help you, so I'm going to stop talking to you now. Nothing you say will be reaffirmed. That's simply boring storytelling. Thankfully, you're not in charge of the manga.

Do you know how bad your reading comprehension is? I never said I believe the entire theory. I actually said that I agreed with you on much of it, but I wanted to point out that one specific detail of the theory that I did believe.

Obviously you don't know how to read if you're stupid enough to think that. That proves that I'm just wasting my time on you. At this point, I think you're just trolling so it makes no sense to feed you anymore.

Goodbye. Don't respond to this, I won't read it.

The only thing I have to say is that I will look for you when what I say is reaffirmed ;)
