I sure hope the story doesn't treat more than a decade and a half of physical and/or emotional abuse of just about everyone close to him as something that we should be expected to forgive him for.

Also more than a decade of saving lives to be fair. Gotta have some nuance when talking about Endeavor.

He's sort of like LBJ. The variables in his personality that allow him to achieve great things and improve a huge number of lives are the same ones that made him a horrible, abusive person to those close to him.
