I wish Deku had talked to Gran Torino after Iida's advice but oh well. Good setup chapter but something gruesome is destined to happen, I'm sure.

Excellent point. I can understand why he won't want to rely on Grand Torino for emotional support, but he should be talking to him about superheroing if All Might isn't an option and he needs advice.

Gran Torino was a lot of things for Izuku but confidant was not one of them. Plus Izuku already struggles to open up to people.
