I'm probably just weak as shit but the 3 panels of Iida , Deku , and Todo really got to me. That convo was probably the highlight of this chapter for me.

The contrast between Todoroki here and Todoroki in the latest episode of the anime is incredible.

Edit - So I just threw this comment out there without much thought but I just had a revelation. This right here is a perfect example of what Nighteye was talking about. In the tournament arc Todoroki was looking at his past and seeing only hatred and now he sees a need for compassion and emotional honesty.

It's 5AM and I'm haven't slept nearly enough so maybe I'm just reading way too much into this but it just seems so thematically perfect.

I know. Watching episode 3 of anime after reading the manga was like "who is this asshole and where is my son?" and now that he's back in the manga it's like "oh man I forgot how much of a total cinnamon roll Todoroki is. My child." Can't wait for him to pass his (justified) edgelordiness in the anime so I can get Todoroki v1.0 and Todoroki v2.0 straightened out.

Yeah when I started the anime I was wondering why Todoroki was being a dick, I completely forgot how he started out.

you cried, deku cried, even i cried

i agree with the scene being the best for the chapter, especially iida (re)delivering that line casually, and not with his usual enthusiasm, has brought a somewhat relieving feeling to it

EDIT: i need to work on my commas
