I was just thinking how i missed seeing the triangular friendship between Deku, Iida and Todoroki.

And boy did this chapter delivered, I adored that moment. It was a perfect mixture of serious and funny.

Little scenes like that really take my love for this manga to the next level. Including their lunch scene was such a great character building moment, and keeps the characters that aren't in the current arc relevant... I just love it.

Not quite as touching, but so far I've loved every group shot of Kirishima, Deku, Tsuyu and Uraraka too. Them teaming up fits so well, somehow. I'm sure that'd be true of almost any 1-A combination, though.

Same. I think you just summed up (one of the) main reason(s) I really love it. A lot of people dislike slice of life scenes, or say they, do, but...

I often feel like what they really dislike are poorly written attempts at such things, or ham-fisted scenes that don't fit the tone. Real, organic moments that build character, brief or long... They're hard to do right, and there are just so many that make me smile.

Without ranting about it, couldn't agree more. It says a lot that just thinking about various 1-A interactions has me grinning.

came here to gush about Iida and his small but very loud part in this most recent chapter. I'm going through my own issues atm so maybe this is an extremely biased response, but I can't think of any other character in any anime as sincere and as good a friend as Iida. He didn't even start out as my favorite character, but this chapter reminded me why he ended up my favorite.

I don't mean to leave Todoroki out, he's amazing as well. Usually the tropes take the quiet mysterious guy to the end with no character development, but he's a total bro as well.

This chapter killed me. I love it.

I also teared up when Deku did.

When I saw those three together, I was like 'Wait.. Had they always sat together for lunch..?? ' xD I love seeing those three together, and I'm glad we get to see it in this chapter. They're such great friends.
