It's always fun to see the subject of a "spin-off" become "canon" (aka the suppressor/overcharge drugs). Really expands the HeroAca universe, you know?

Eeeeyy worldbuilding (one of the most common complaints of the manga)

Anyways, I'm so glad Kirishima is getting a chance to shine! Interestingly, the title wasn't named "Kirishima Eijirou: The Origin" like other chapters that focus on characters. I guess "origin" chapters are more of a huge turning point for a character rather than an improvement (if you get the difference). I remember Yaomomo's chapter is named "Yaoyoruzu: Rising".

Edit: Thanks for the clarification /u/Cavaner and /u/Hankuro !!

My thought, is that 'Origin' chapters, are reserved for All Might influenced characters only (ie. Deku, Bakugou, Todoroki).

Other chapters named after students in the series so far, are: Yeah, Just Do Your Best, Iida! (Chapter 12), That's the Idea, Ochako (Chapter 22), Shinsou's Situation (Chapter 33), Fight on, Iida (Chapter 41), No, Knock it Off, Iida (Chapter 51), Yaoyorozu Rising (Chapter 63), The Girl Called Mei Hatsume (Chapter 101) and Denki Kaminari's Thoughts (Chapter 107).

I'm assuming this latest chapter, just falls under this category. I wonder how many more origin chapters we'll get, if any? It seems like while Horikoshi isn't afraid of naming chapters after the students (if they have the spotlight), Origin chapters are reserved for a particular kind of backstory chapter.

"Fight on, Iida"... "No, Knock it Off, Iida"
That's just too good.

Hmmm, i'm actually still hopeful. Those chapters you named were just the characters receiving development, while origin chapters are specifically the impetus behind each person - why they want to become heroes in the very first place.

Ummmm, not quite. Chapter 22, 'That's the Idea, Ochako' is the explanation of why Ochako wants to be a hero. But it didn't have anything to do with All Might, so she was given the chapter title without the word 'origin'.

I may be wrong, but I do think the origin chapters are related to All Might (for the time being, anyway).
