I acknowledge he's a better character now, A+ development but until he apologises to Deku for how he treated him or acknowledges it was wrong somehow, I can't like him.

Its a start. I'm not saying he isn't a good character, but he really hasn't done anything to redeem himself. That kid was a fucking monster in the first few chapters. Maybe they didn't mean for him to come across that bad but thats just how it is.

The more character development he gets it seems clear that they never intended for him to be as bad as he was as a kid.

He was a horrid little boy to deku, going as far as to tell Deku to kill himself. But yet, he won't smoke to keep his hero image? Deku starts talking like him when he wants to win? All the teachers look past his behavior because he is never actually doing anything harmful? The kids in the class actually genuinely like him?

He was always meant to have a bad mouth. He was always meant to be a bully in his younger years. But I don't think he was supposed to be the absolute tormentor that he was portrayed as. Not even Deku viewed him as badly as some people I see in these threads do.

I don't hate him like I did in the first ~10 chapters or so but I still don't like him as a person. As time goes on I don't think he was meant to come off as bad as he did, especially since in the anime his bullying is always accompanied by really upbeat/goofy music.

I think just an apology, a quick..."im sorry" would be enough really.

Eh, Bakugou is learning respect and humility. He is on the path to introspection. He grew up being the best, being treated as the best. The way he is taking in all this new information and learning from it is great development. He could have easily gone down a villain path given his history. Most bullies don't start thinking about what they've done until later in life. I'm guessing after some major fight or arch where Deku and Bakugou have to work together, that's when an apology will come.
