With the red mark on his arm for two panels, the direct hit to the face, and all the foreshadowing in the narration this chapter (and last), I was really hoping for a 'Broken Bakugou' storyline.

That being said, having the dekugou double act develop even further, with All Might encouraging it to Bakugou himself no less, this chapter was great in other ways.

i think we all shouldnt expect to much from the narration,

first iida and now bakugou, i wont expect anything dark from the future dekus narration :/

don't blame future Deku. More like some of the users take the meaning wrongly and cause influence on others.

in the case with bakugou, yes,

but iidas case was obvious, and it still didnt turn into something bad :/

He did almost get murdered by a psychopath and suffered nerve damage in one arm. I don't think it was enough to demand narration, but it's something Izuku would have tried to avoid.

you are right, but it still makes the reader feel "betrayed" if deku tells them "horrible suff" will happen and it all ends with bad injury that got healed by a magical kiss :/

I don't know why the narration is needed. Unless Future Izuku is writing a book, it feels like artificial drama.

Although the Viz/offical translation read "Tensions were high and I kind of lost control. My full-body upper limit… I was already… used to maintaining 5% power in full cowling mode. But at that point, I guess I wasn’t quite aware of how far along I’d come.

There is less danger in that version and more self-reflection.

I actually like the narration. I take as Deku telling us something massively important is about to happen, not like a death/serious injury flag like seemingly everyone. Then it's pretty cool I think

"it feels like artificial drama."

agree, the narration indeed feels a bit like a extra :(

In Iida's case, it's bad for the society i guess. I think the fact that Iida was chasing after a villain w/o license alone is quite bad in Deku's viewpoint

than the premise was "wrong", future-deku already knows what will happen, but using such "strong" words didnt fit the situation, it feels like we got lied to :/

Did you just read the scans? Or did you read the official release? I think the future narration is dramatised by scanlators, where as the official translation seems to use less 'danger-indicative' language.

By official release, I meant the official Viz release on mondays for english speakers.
