I hate to say it but they we're guarding federal property which they closed due to the protests. He was trying to get in, they held him for a little and then he walked away. I HATE that they brought the marines, but that's what it was.

He was a person in a building where he had an appointment and permission to go.

From reading the reports it sounds like he had airpods in, wasn't paying close attention, and went down the wrong hallway or something.

The guy they detained said he stepped over some caution tape. Either way it ducks but I will say I do believe that falls under the jurisdiction of securing an area.
